Summer REMIX Ideas
Here's a few ideas to use as a springboard. If you come up with others be sure to leave a comment and let us know. Have fun mixin' it up girls!
- host a lunch or dinner party
- invite a few people you've been wanting to get to know to coffee
- do a Facebook get-together with people you don't know well yet
- organize summer book club
- make a play date at the park w/ other moms who have kids
- volunteer at Colette's Children's Home
- volunteer at Horizon Pregnancy Center
- form a walking group
- beach days
- babysit for a single mom
- make dinner for a widow or single mom
- make a lunch date with a coworker you don't know yet
- host a neighborhood bbq
- take cookies or something yummy to your neighbors
- host a potluck night
- do a bible study in your home
- bring neighborhood kids to UGSFAW this summer
- have a community garage sale and donate proceeds to a local cause
- have lunch with a homeless person
- take time to sit and visit with someone you know is going through a rough time
- reach out to people of different faiths and attend their churches and engage in conversation
- send some encouraging notes to others
- ask the church for names of people in the hospital and go visit them
- ask the church about homebound senior citizens who would love a visit from someone
- organize a bonfire night at the beach
- host a game night in your home
